Pappas Bros Steakhouse Downtown

This place was pretty fancy and it was actually worth the money. Can’t wait to go back!!

Overall service was great. Drinks and wine excellent. Will say I was a bit disappointed with the Waygu beef we shared. I found ours to be a bit chewy, and found myself wishing I’d just gotten a filet for about a third the price. That was my only complaint about this experience. Pappas Steakhouse is still our go to place for all important celebrations.

Service was impeccable and food was delicious. It was too noise to carry on conversation unless you were sitting right next to someone. Even servers were shouting at tables to talk to guests. I wouldn’t go there for a romantic dinner. Everyone said that Pappa’s Brothers has the best steak in Houston. I would say that they are one of the best, but not the best. There are plenty of other restaurants with just as great steaks at lower price, great service and better ambiance. My table for was along a wall which is at an odd location; separated from the other tables very removed from the main area, but still too noisy. Also the table was longer when wider so that I was too far away from my girl friend; definitely would not sit there again. My server Devin made the experience worthwhile.

We liked it more than the one in Westheimer I think because it wasn’t as Full it lloked cozier.

Anniversary dinner was absolutely astounding. Pappas always does great!
