North Italia – BLVD - Houston

The service at the restaurant was excellent, but the food could be improved.

Eating was excellent. the aubergine removal was boiled to perfection. the bolognese, the pasta and the garnels were excellent.

The bloom is off this rose. Used to be a great place with some dependable dishes. The arancini was room temp, the bolognese was underseasoned and the pasta was over cooked. The food was just OK, but at those prices for pasta, just OK isn't going to cut it. The grilled branzino was the sole bright spot for the evening. It was delicious. Also, on the general houskeeping front, the bathroom looked as if it hadn't been attended to all evening as the traschan was overflowinf with paper towels.

Caught the tail end of the regular lunch hour, which was regular conversation noise levels. Our party had the arugula and avocado salad, seasonal mushroom pizza, and the roasted salmon. New Italian spritz for a drink finished off with an affogato awesome as usual. A bit on the chilly side where we were in the restaurant nearby the kitchen space; otherwise a nice experience as usual.

Great place! great eating! gluten-free options and very good service. highly recommended.
