This is the only time we have eaten at Nino's on a Saturday evening. Either they overbooked or did not have enough staff, but we were lucky to be seated before even though we had a reservation. The service was good and the food was great as always. Maybe the recent lifting of masksocial distancing restrictions contributed to the evening chaos
I have been eating at Nino’s for years. It is my favorite restaurant. However the last few times last night being the last time I have experienced a less than star rating experience. It seems to me that because of the pandemic Nino’s is less
The last time we were at Ninos was before Mandola passed. He would come by and say hello to each and every table in the evening and ask each of the customers about the food, the service, etc. The food however feels like it has slipped a bit. I ordered the same meal as my last visit and it just wasn’t the same. It was still very good but I was nonetheless disappointed because it wasn’t as excellent as before. Perhaps it was an off night in the kitchen. Perhaps attention to quality has suffered somewhat since Mandolas passing. I’m not sure. It was still very good, but it just wasn’t great…
A Houston institution, reliably good. Sorry to see the parcel of land up for sale. Hopefully they will continue the business
