The restaurant is clean and comfortable. The staff was incredibly helpful in guiding me on what to order. I really appreciate the selection of books they have available. There's plenty of seating, and the space isn't cluttered, making it a great place to work.

The coffee here is excellent, and the service is quick. I really enjoyed the Mocha-Latte, and the cinnamon roll was delightful as well. The barista was friendly and very accommodating. There are both indoor and outdoor seating options, though capacity is somewhat limited. It's a great spot to relax and hang out.

This lovely coffee shop is located in the Montrose district and offers pet-friendly parking. It has a wonderful atmosphere that's perfect for working, studying, or simply enjoying a coffee. The staff is large and welcoming, and the drink menu features a wide variety of options!

The best place to work. It's a total mood. Large hot and cold coffee selection also with pastries.

Scared to say it's one of my new favorite coffee shops because I don't want it to start to get crowded, but it's just so great! It's very chill. Think Black Hole and Campesino had an artsy but mellow child. There's plenty of seating: outside is great for chatting, small tables for working alone with some table space, a few tall window tables, and my favorite which is a giant table that fits at least 10. The inside is a tiny bit quieter than most coffee shops I've been to but not like excessive pressure to talk quietly. I think what draws me to Mercantile is really just the chill vibes I get when visiting since it's a little separated from most of the other Houston hot spots. The coffee is pretty good but I tend to go for just the classic drinks. I would recommend the spicy coffee (it has cayenne pepper in it!
