Massa's South Coast Grill - Houston

Massa’s south coast grill is an excellent restaurant. the food and service are both very good. this is a good choice when they eat in the inner city of houston.

We had a sales meeting and were in the city, so I wanted to try something that was not a chain restaurant. there were 8 of us, so we tried a lot of different dishes (steak, red-bark, burger, garnel and grums and red-bark pantchartrain. we had the bacon wounded watchdog who was brilliant. we also had the calamari (it was average.) the drinks were good. our waiter was mario and he was very attentive and was there when we needed something.

We had five in our group. everyone was satisfied with his meals. the Jalapeño cheese muffins they served before the meal were delicious. I especially loved the bisque-creb soup, it had large pieces of sweet crumb! my entree was speck wrapped garnels with a crab meat stopper, frying and mixed vegetables. all in all it was a very good meal and we all enjoyed the fact that we could hold a talk without screaming together. Restaurants near the congress center in the city of houston can be crowded and noise levels can be columning loud ohr, so we are happy to find this little gem of a restaurant. we will be dining again in any case at this point.

Food tasted great, House salad looked great on menu but not in person, Shrimp looked like it was out of a can and salad greens needed to be patted dried or spun dried water/ dressing conflict. Owner/ Manager was quick to correct. Seeing Concert, easy to walk to restaurant JW Marriott Downtown to concert venue Minute Maid Park Waiter was nice but kept forgetting things, Bread, Salads, ordered a meal that was no longer available but was not told Could have been new so hopefully he gets better Would go again!

Our waiter was outstanding. I didn’t love the cocktail menu...but they would do pretty much what you wanted. I asked for a jalapeño margarita and it was awesome! They subbed sides and were nice about it. I thought the sautéed spinach was incredible. My grouper was really nice too. We were there on a Monday evening so it was pretty empty. We had a nice time though!
