La Griglia - Houston

I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while ordering a side of spinach on Uber Eats one night. They surprisingly included a complimentary bag of Italian cookies with my order. To me, attention to detail is crucial, especially for such a small order, which inspired me to try the restaurant in person the following day. My first dinner at La Griglia was fantastic! Our server, Alexander, truly enhanced our experience with his impeccable service. This place has definitely become my go-to Italian restaurant in Houston. The manager also provided excellent service and warmly greeted us as we left. I will definitely return—thank you for the wonderful experience!

I just left the restaurant feeling full, satisfied, and thrilled to have found my new favorite spot. A big shoutout to our server, Jose, and his team—they made a lasting impression on both me and my family. Here’s what I enjoyed and highly recommend: I started with the pizza bread and the seafood cheesecake, both of which were fantastic. I also had a blood orange drink that was refreshing. Next, I tried the soup of the day, which was asparagus soup—absolutely delicious! For my main course, I had the spaghetti carbonara, and the pasta was cooked to perfection—seriously, it was spot on! The complimentary cookies were amazing too; I couldn't pick a favorite among them. For dessert, I opted for the tiramisu, and it was definitely a must-try. This place far exceeded my expectations. The service was outstanding, with the team of 3-4 working seamlessly to ensure everything arrived promptly. The food was hot and fresh, and the drinks were cold and very refreshing. I have no complaints whatsoever. Overall, I’d give it a 10 out of 10!

First time dining in at this restaurant. We dined with another couple and had a very good experience. Although we had reservations for a later time, we arrived early and were accommodated with a table within 5 minutes. Wait staff was very attentive and responsive to our needs; our head waiter, Alexander, made sure we were taken care of. We each tried different entrees braised short ribs, salmon, seafood di mare, rigatoni. My favorite was the seafood di mare the sauce was excellent. Dessert was also very good the key lime pie was the best I've had; Creme brule was prepared differently than we've seen before it was just OK.

Houston has a new restaurant open weekly so there are many choices. We decided to hit up an old tried and true with family who was visiting. It was even better than I remembered! We had Alexander wait on us and he didn’t miss a beat. Super attentive and anticipated everything we needed. The food exceeded expectations as well!. So glad we went old school!
