Kata Robata Sushi & Grill - Houston

Service and food are top notch. My favorite sushi restaurant in Houston. I recommend the spicy soy ramen as an appetizer (split it with someone because it is big and filling). The mango shaved ice was a delicious desert too

I have not try their food but their drinks are very good their Mango Frappe is delicious, will recommend anyone to go there and give it a try, also their cups are adorable

Unpretentious high-end sushi restaurant with simply prepared dishes focusing on quality and taste. The Foie Gras sushi (Foie Gras with egg) and the kobe skewers make an excellent starter to contrast with the sushi and rolls as mains.

We happened upon Kata Robata by chance and it ended up being a highlight of our trip to Houston. The atmosphere felt comfortable, trendy, and lively. Employees looked like they enjoyed working there- I noticed many genuine-looking smiles asthey interacted with and helped each other. Staff that weren't our servers also interacted pleasantly with us. Music was great- enough to provide interest but not be overpowering or distracting. The booth that we were seated at was surprisingly cushy andI hated to leave it at the end of the meal! Of course none of that matters if the food isn't good. We didn't have a singlething that night that wasn't incredible. The fish was fresh and of good quality. Each dish was beautifully presented and tastedeven better than it looked. I'll dream fondly of the fatty tuna for the foreseeable future. Our server, Khan, was a patient andinformative guide through the menu. He provided recommendations and happily answered any questions we had. His advice to end themeal on the miso lobster mac and cheese was spot on! This was an excellent close to our vacation and I hope to return next timeI'm in town.

This was the first Japanese restaurant we tried in Houston, restaurant was still very busy on a weekday afternoon. Fish/ingredients are fresh, the toro uni caviar sushi was really good, will totally come back just for that. Our server Edwardwas very attentive and nice. Overall, great value for money.
