Juanita's Mexican - Houston

The service at this restaurant was disappointing. Despite there being very few customers, it took a long time for anyone to attend to our table. I noticed several servers simply standing around, while the manager seemed to be the one taking orders. The hostess was indifferent and came across as somewhat rude. I understand that staff may be busy with various tasks, but if you’re going to interact with customers, it would be nice to at least show some interest. My enchiladas were burnt on one end, lacked verde sauce, and were excessively salty. Additionally, the carne asada resembled more of a stew than the authentic dish I expected. To top it off, the booth we sat in still had bits of rice on it when we arrived. Overall, it wasn’t worth the $50 bill for the three of us. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

First of all, let me mention how neat, clean, and cozy the atmosphere is! It’s definitely a mood booster, and the dishes are expertly prepared (kudos to the chef)! The Super Nachos are one of my personal favorites! I work just across the street at the Shell on the corner, and Juanita’s is my top choice for lunch. And those Margaritas? Just between us...

It's clear from the start that Juanita's is a family-owned restaurant. The food portions are generous and absolutely delicious, and the prices are quite reasonable. The Happy Hour deals are excellent, and their margaritas are bursting with flavor. You can count on having a wonderful meal accompanied by exceptional customer service.

Man oh man, oh man! I was thoroughly impressed by the service and food! After watching Once Upon a Time in Mexico so many times, it made me want to try the dish Johnny Depp always had in the movie. It 's one of those dishes you don 't see too often in a MXrestaurant but I was glad I saw it here. The menu lists it as the Cochinita Pibil and it was beyond my expectations. It camewith rice, a little cabbage salad with picked red onions, and a choice of beans. I paired my food with a Negra Modelo which onlybrought out more of the flavors. I highly recommend it. I just won 't shoot the cook like in the movie... lol.

Came for a quick lunch before heading back to work. I forget that Mexican restaurant serve you big plates ; Food was delicious. Customer service was great. Check out the Juanita's special's,, yummy!
