Well, after months of living across the street i decided to order lunch for pickup, which was more of a walk to get out of the apartment.

First off don't let the old school decor and all the grey hair scare you off.

La Marea was a big surprise. We visit the area occasionally and the restaurants are fine. La Marea comes from Westchester where we have many to choose from and it definitely falls into that category. The food was outstanding and the place was very welcoming and comfortable. Can't say enough well. You just have to try it yourself.

Excellent food. The mozzarella and tomato salad was the best I've ever had. Shrimp and scallops over polenta were a wonderful and unique mix of flavors. The menu had a wide variety and the service was wonderful
