Fountain View Fish Market - Houston

This place is amazing. Perfect example of what a hole in the wall restaurant means. The shrimp is plump and perfectly crunchy. The fish is flaky and juice and fried to perfection. I wish the restaurant would house make all of it sauces but I understand.

Great fried fish, shrimp, egg rolls, fries.Wonderful, tiny place for lunch that is clean, spartan and cramped, which surprisingly adds to the understated charm of this old, iconic Houston eatery.No frills, pomp or razzle dazzle.Just great seafood done right.Extremely casual like Jimmy Buffett casual.Delish.

Ordered the 2 fish 2 shrimp combo.Coleslaw-bland and tastes like its just the slaw vegies with watery slaw sauce.Onion rings- were slightly over fried but good and, not overly sweet batter.Fish- is nicely fried. Batter is bland. Could use more seasoning.Shrimp- Fried nicely, batter could use more seasoning as well.Iced tea- tastes more like Arnold Palmer.#WilCWhatsNext

The food is good. The kitchen staff are amazing. The Caucasian gentleman at the register is not friendly at all and racist. He tried to over charge me for my bottles of Peach Tea and one of the cooks and to come over and correct him. He is extremely fake and rude. Always trying to insist that I take condiments and when I tell him I have them it home he tells me I don't know you wouldn't condiments. This dude has issues!
