Dish Society At Finn Hall - Houston

After such a great experience on my first visit, I decided to return on January 31, 2022. This time, I opted for the deconstructed chicken potcake, expecting it to be just as wonderful, but I was disappointed. The potatoes were hard and lacked flavor, unlike the potcake I typically enjoy. I recommend sticking to the brunch menu, as that seemed to be where this restaurant truly shines.

This place is fantastic for a quick meal! Situated in the heart of Houston's business district, it offers a great variety of options. In my opinion, Dish Society serves some of the best breakfast dishes around. I tried their traditional breakfast, which included your choice of eggs, crispy bacon, toast with butter and jam, and a delicious fruit dish. The service was prompt, the restaurant was spotless, and the atmosphere was delightful. You can relax and enjoy your meal in comfort here.

The bowl of beans that accompanied the tacos was a bit puzzling since there was no rice to pair with it. Using the beans on the tacos would have been excessive, but they were still quite tasty on their own. Overall, I’d say the steak tacos are a solid choice if you’re in the mood for something with a bit of a New Tex-Mex twist and don’t want to overindulge.

It was nervous when I first came in because the place was empty. Not many people in downtown on a Sunday morning. Gonna recommend breakfast tacos with avocado. Some of the best I ever had. Great service too. No bar.. Balance or Apple Pay only!! This is my only handle.

This was my second time chowing down at Dish Society inside of Finn Hall. I'm always around the lunch crowd so it's packed, but I've always gotten my food fresh and quick. I decided to go with the Brisket stuffed sweet potato. Exactly as it sounds, it's a sweet potato loaded with brisket, as well as some extras like barbecue sauce and coleslaw. All of the flavors worked well together, but you kind of lose them in the medley. I would definitely recommend anyone in the downtown area looking a quick bite to stop by Dish Society at Finn Hall.
