Denny's - Houston

This is hands-down the best Denny’s ever! Dylan the lead server Alejandra The manager in Miguel to cook are on their game. I will call them the Tess amigos or a.k.a. the A Team. Stop in and let them make your day the same way they made hours.

Got here at about 7:30 PM, wasn't very busy.The restaurant was clean and orderly.Service was quick, food was prepared the way I ordered it. For the most part getting refills of my drink was quick and easy.All in all it was okay, The waitress didn't make any effort to see if I wanted anything extra or any dessert. Due to the heat I had gotten 3 refills of tea in their new glasses. Or even offer me a to go glass of tea.The food was ok, the service was okay. Maybe the days of up selling the customer or seeing if they wanted anything else before they left has come and gone.If so, I for one miss them, and I'm disappointed with what I got.I would come back if I was nearby and wanted a quick meal. However I just wouldn't expect the treatment of old.

Unfortunately, even though there were plenty of available seats, we were placed right by the front door. Each time someone entered, we had to contend with the cold draft. On a positive note, our food was served hot and ready. Overall, I would rate the food 3 out of 5.

To be clear, we arrived at 8:12 PM, and we didn’t get our food until 9:20 PM, which is unacceptable for a place with so few customers. Maria made excuses for her poor service, claiming she recognized me from a previous visit when I left her a $10 tip. This attitude is unprofessional and, unfortunately, it isn't the first time I've experienced it with her. In fact, other customers, who happen to be my neighbors, have also expressed their dissatisfaction with her service. This dinner was meant to be a special gift for my little brother's birthday, as he has been eager to eat at Denny’s for a long time. Instead, we were greeted by someone who didn’t show a hint of warmth or friendliness—she didn’t smile even once! The overall service was just terrible. I genuinely hope the restaurant reconsider its decision to have her in a managerial position.

This place has amazing waiters. I look forward to getting helped by Maria. They always make me feel welcomed no matter what time of the day.
