Calle Onze - Houston

We sat outside where we have sat before but this time there were lots of flies everywhere. Not sure what was causing that but it made dining outside a nuisance. Also the music playing was too loud and too much like club music. Not the best choice for dining music. Otherwise the food and service was very good.

Overall it wasn’t a great experience. Our initial table was inside but it was so loud we couldn’t hear ourselves talk or what our first server was telling our table, to enjoy our meal we requested to move outside which they accommodated. The food was okay, nothing blew us away. The happy hour menu was a huge let down, we used to come to Calle Onze frequently because of that, but with the changes it now isn’t worth the price. We had several “snacks” as our sever called them and a few drinks, but left and had a proper meal somewhere else.

Great food! Went there for brunch on Saturday the arepa benedict and tacos de barbacoa are to die for.

Parking was 10 dollar valet. Oysters were small and flies were in the bar area

First of all the music was so loud you could not have a conversation , Open Table lists energetic as the top level. how about one that states too damn loud... I went twice at night in the first 6 months of their opening and thought it was pretty good Sadly there was nothing on the Open Table booking that told me they only had a brunch and bar bites available , I was hoping for a meal... My phone would not scan the QR code and I asked for a menu that they could not provide!! told kitchen close in 30 mins by the waitperson that had no interest in helping us find something to eat and finally gave us a bar bites menu.... worst **** I have ever had, quesadilla's , burnt, dry could not even eat, nacho's just some chips in a bowl with some cheese poured over... No management or anyone who gave a damn, I used to recommend this place and not sure what the valet scam was as they asked for 10 in the beginning but when they came out he said oh no charge just a tip if you wish......
