Cafe Caspian - Houston

My first time here. eating is amazing. the ambiente is fantastic. good choice of crying. this was the perfect place to experience another culture and the amazing eating of the region.

The restaurant is beautiful inside and the food was generally very good. I went with my family and everyone enjoyed their selections. I ordered the beef and lamb kebabs and while the lamb was well seasoned and prepared, one of the beef chunks had a definitive smell of feces. I will not be returning because my otherwise pleasant experience was ruined.

The hostess is really nice and accommodating. The bread was fresh and the food was brought out in a reasonable time and tasted great. I was disappointed though that they said they had no more hot sauce when requesting it. Also, I would advise them to invest in a soda fountain machine like many restaurants have, paying $2.50 for a can is a highway robbery. Also the restrooms were not clean.

Love Cafe Caspian, and I always make sure to stop by when I am in Houston. Every time I have visited the food tastes great, the quality is on point, and consistent. Try the chicken and beef kabobs with the white and greenish rice, not sure what it is called but it’s my favorite. The saffron ice cream is also delicious and rich!

Went twice, once for dinner as two couples, and again (my suggestion) for a business dinner. The food is great highly authentic Middle Eastern cuisine, and the staff are very helpful with their recommendations. Not too pricey either, especially considering the quality of the fare.
