Bought food few times, worst food ever. Once bought pakoras and they were mouldy. I called the shop and the lady was very rude and was not convinced. I wrote a complaint to local council and waiting for reply. Another item was samosas and spring rolls and they were undercooked and soaked in oil. This shop sells terrible unhealthy food and worst customer care ever. Very rude. It’s completely waste of money and time.
The lady who makes samosas didn’t wash hands after using toilet. When I asked sweared at me . I said can I speak to manager in Slough branch, said nobody’s here if u want to order otherwise go from here. Never felt so insulted I said she should apologise, refused to say sorry as I called her rude she said 1st. Manager later on phone when I called again n again said sorry on her behalf as she kept picking phone n refused to pass call to anyone else , manager kept saying she’s a nice lady 6 times. Not educated or trained very cheaply hired staff. She was only speaking Punjabi n kept saying she understands English n Hindi both. Unhygienic
Recently attended a party there the food was a buffet style. The papri chaat was a let down. No presentation of the chaat what so ever. When I questioned the staff they in turn questioned me as to why I was asking about it. It looked like mashed potato and the manager advised this was because of the refill. This was not the case but the staff just threw it all in the bowl and missed it to serve up as slop.
One of the worst places I’ve ever been to in terms of service. The food is to the quality. However, if you expect a smile and basic service, you might (or you WILL) end up with a frown. The staff is extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming to say the least. It made us feel like unwanted guests. You’re better off with a takeaway than dine at Chahal’s. Avoid at all costs. You are better off sleeping on an empty stomach rather than seeing miserable faces while serving you.
