Border Grill - Houghton

Are you starving? The menu sounded appealing with plenty of options and ingredients I liked. However, once we placed our orders, we struggled to find a clean table—all of them were dirty. We settled in and started with the guacamole, salsa, and queso, which were served in small containers (not bad), but I was disappointed to find diced, cold, precooked chicken on my nachos. I looked up and noticed all the meats stored in large, clear containers, all precooked. It was disappointing and unclean. I won't be returning.

I stopped in feeling hungry and decided to order a burrito, a taco, and some nachos because the menu had options and ingredients that appealed to me. However, when our food arrived, we tried to find a table, but all of them were dirty. We settled down and started with the guacamole, salsa, and queso, which were served in individual containers—not bad. Unfortunately, I found diced, cold, pre-cooked chicken on my nachos, which was really unappetizing. I then noticed all the meat was stored in large clear containers on a shelf, and it was all pre-cooked. Overall, it was a disappointing experience in a dirty environment, and I don’t plan on returning.

We took a break while in the city to wrap up our daughters' autumn semester. The food was really good—fresh and very flavorful. I had the smoked brisket burrito, and I highly recommend it!

If you're searching for a place to eat, look no further than Border Grill in Houghton! Seriously, everything I tried there was outstanding, and the staff is even more impressive! I was amazed by the level of customer service provided by Silas, Marielle, and Meredith. They made me feel so welcome and were incredibly helpful when I was overwhelmed by the numerous menu options!

The hockey team visiting needed a dinner setup for 25 people, and the staff at Border Grill went above and beyond to help organize and deliver the order to our hotel. The food was fantastic, and the team really enjoyed it. We had more than enough to eat, and they've already requested that we order from there again next year!
