Cotija Mexican - Hot Springs

I arrived at the restaurant around 3:30 in the early evening, well before dinner time. I stopped by because I knew I wanted to place an order before the dinner rush. The place was empty except for a friendly young lady who served as the host. We chatted about our dogs while I decided on my order. I ended up getting the speck-wrapped shrimp and a steak burrito. The speck was crispy and perfectly cooked, wrapping around the large shrimp beautifully. The burrito was filled with generous portions of steak and each bite provided a layered taste experience. Instead of just a mouthful of mixed flavors, each ingredient stood out on its own. I was so full after eating only half of it (along with the shrimp), but made sure to finish the rest later in the evening. Overall, I had a great experience at this restaurant and will definitely be returning. Thank you, Cotija, for the delicious meal!

It was okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. The servers were nice but the food was average. I sat at the bar and the bartender didn't acknowledge me. I had a server instead. I don't know if it was because of a shift change.

I had the delicious cancun (right) it was amazing! my man had the grande burrito and we had margaritas! the personal is amazing and very attentive to their needs! great experience and in any case will go as often as possible!

This was our first time visiting this place, which came highly recommended by a friend, and it certainly lived up to our expectations. We will definitely be returning. The service was exceptional, the food was delicious (especially the Cancun dish), and the jalapeño margaritas were perfect. Sleeping Natives is truly a hidden gem. Highly recommended!

This is one of our favorite spots to dine at regularly. It can be slow at times, and we often wonder if they will stay open. However, tonight they were quite busy! Even though they didn't have enough staff to handle the rush, they did their best. I overheard several other patrons who were just as pleased to see them so bustling. The food and service were excellent as always.
