Jose's Mexican Grill Cantina

Jose's was fantastic! If you find yourself in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and are in search of an authentic Mexican restaurant, this is the spot you should visit. The owner has several restaurants in town and beyond, all known for their delicious food. The quality of the dishes is excellent, and the customer service is top-notch. The restaurant is also very clean and family-friendly, making it a perfect choice for everyone.

The chips and salsa arrived promptly, accompanied by a delicious green sauce that had a refreshing cucumber flavor—a delightful surprise! We started with a small guacamole and queso as appetizers. For my main course, I ordered two specials. First, I tried the Tamale lunch special, which included three tamales topped with chili sauce. They were light, moist, and utterly delicious. The rice and beans were equally tasty. Next, I ordered two chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce. It’s hard to find a place in Arkansas that serves good sour cream sauce, but theirs was outstanding. More importantly, the chicken was incredibly juicy and full of flavor—absolutely delicious! My wife chose the Al Pastor Street Tacos, and while she enjoyed them immensely, I found myself wishing I had ordered them as well. The seasoning and cooking were exceptional, with just the right amount of heat. Additionally, the service and cleanliness were impeccable! We will definitely be returning.

There was a wide variety of options available! They offered a selection of burritos, quesadillas, tacos, salads, burgers, and other entrees, along with a good number of desserts. I was surprised they didn't have horchata, but instead, I tried a sweet strawberry drink that I really enjoyed. I appreciated the complimentary chips and salsa while I waited for my food, which arrived in a timely manner. I ordered the De Todo Burrito with steak, and although it came with olives—which I didn't expect—they actually complemented the dish nicely. The cheese sauce on top of the burrito was a delightful addition. I enjoyed listening to Spanish Christmas songs while watching football on the TVs at the bar and around the restaurant. I wished the beef had a bit more flavor, but overall, I left feeling full and satisfied.

Super fun restaurant! The artwork and decor was beautiful! Restroom was very nice and clean. Delicious tacos and super quick service! Also, the staff members were kind and food was very decently priced. Great place to stop while visiting Hot Springs!

Service was exceptional. Margaritas were tasty and cold. Fajitas were just right.
