Recomendo! ;)
This restaurant serves local cuisine, is reasonably priced and worth a visit. Has a traditional Azorean feel to it
Since becoming resident on the island I have visited this restraunt half a dozen times or so (about once a month) for lunch with friends. It is a great centrally located place, just from the bank and a cash point. Very popular with locals...taking lunch, which says it all really. Good value, especially if you have the Prato do Dia. Service is good, friendly and helpful. If they are available I recommend the quail grab a plateful. Fish is good too. The dishes are traditional Azorean style not too fussy and great portions. If you are not too hungry it may be an idea to have a starter and share a main course! The atmosphere is busy at peak times, traditional and functional. Wine (house table) is good to eat with, again a great option if you are on a budget. Of course a full selection of beverages are available to suit all pockets. Service is prompt, but hardly the point as lunch here can last a while, especially in good company
Walking past noticed this smallish restaurant Menu looked nice so reserved a table. Meal was absolutely fantastic. I had Iscas de figado (liver) and partner had espetsdas. No issues at all
This restaurant seems to be a locals favourite. The food was tasty and well presented. Reasonable value and staff pleasant
