I would highly recommend!
Fantastic tasting menu experience in a beautiful setting. Each course was both delicious and fascinating (the accompanying info cards are a wonderful touch) with unexpected ingredients foraged from the extensive gardens. Service was impeccable and, whilst Michelin thinks it worth a stop, we will happily repeat this special journey again.
One of the best fine dining restaurants I have been to. Would recommend it to anyone interested in exploring different cuisines (Interlude is South African) and likes high quality, extremely creative and local (literally from their own grounds) food. Every dish was a delightful surprise and the staff were lovely. An absolutely wonderful experience we will be back.
Out of this world !. It was simply amazing the staff was great. Would go back again l. It was the best food and wine I ever had
The restaurant "Interlude" is a unique dining experience that can be best described as intense rather than a lull or a breather. While some aspects of the meal were brilliant, others were baffling. Despite this, nothing was so bad that it warranted knocking a star off the rating. The lack of a menu sets the tone for the evening, beginning with a pre-dinner drink in a bar reminiscent of Leonardslee House. Moving to the dining room, guests are left to choose their wine without knowing the upcoming courses, a disappointment for those expecting a more sophisticated approach. The food itself, however, is exceptional with small, beautifully presented courses that consistently impress. The pacing of the meal, with a bread course halfway through and 17 courses in total, may be excessive for some diners. Despite some missteps with the service and music selection, Chef Jean Delport's talent and the kitchen's skill shine throughout the evening. In the end, "Interlude" leaves diners both satisfied and longing for a more refined overall experience.
