Slick Rock Grill - HORSESHOE BAY

Not sure what is up with this place? We had been several times before. We were seated, given a menu to order from and ate. The food and service were great (5 stars). But wait a minute... we went there recently again, sat down and waited for our server, but there were no servers. You had to go to a small counter and order off a very, very limited menu (the good menu was gone, so don't be fooled by the photos of the menu in other reviews) and pay at the counter. So we ordered and upon paying we were kicked out because we were not Members or staying as guests at the facility. We own several properties in the area that's why we have been here several times before. It was slightly humiliating since we had been here so many times before and were treated so nicely, but not this time. I recognized our Server from before as she was running to stop us from leaving, but we informed her we were being kicked out and she looked at us confused. Guess our money is no good here anymore. Zero stars for the conduct of the female Manager who kicked us out.

Love the food here. The taco salad was really good today.

The food is exceptional, earning a solid 5 out of 5. However, the prices are quite steep, as is common in the HSB complex. A glass of iced tea costs $4.50, which I find to be outrageous.

This is a great spot for a quality burger, whether before or after your round of golf. The service is quick and efficient, especially if you're on a tight schedule with your tee time. Plus, the view adds to the overall experience. I had a really enjoyable time here. Food rating: 4/5.
