Los Colegas - Horizon City

I got the shrimp tacos, came with 3 pieces of shrimp on each taco and they were no bigger than the size of a quarter. It was mostly salsa. Chips and salsa were not bad though. ??

So we decided to give this location a 2nd chance just because we were around the neighborhood, we arrived at 7:20pm August 17, thursday; the place was literally empty, there was only a table of 2, the servever was no where to be found; we could hear the server having a conversation all the way from the kitchen, it took the server 15 minutes to get to attend us. She gets there and asks us if we're ready even though she dint give us menus. She then rushes us to order because the kitchen was about to close, when she took 15 minutes to serve us. The server and bartender look annoyed since we got there. She takes our drink and food order, we love colegas, we are frequent clients on edgemere and the service and food it's not the same at all. My dad ordered a bud light draft Michelada, and they brought him a michelada with no ice and hardly had lime; and a modelo instead of budlight, my mom had to return her clubsoda lemonade because it was just lemonade.. then we thought it was just the service that was bad, but we get the food....My enchiladas were good no complaints on that, but the cocktail campechana was super dry, hardly tomato juice, and the avocado was hard as a rock, same goes for the shrimp cocktail we ordered. The server never offered us refills. Over all, we never complain but it was disappointing, and this is the second time we go to this location and the service is bad. We spended almost 60 dollars, we could've gone somewhere else.

Food is good (a bit pricey) but the place smells like pee. They should check the bathroom by the entryway.

Ordered take out Friday afternoon for the first time. A simple shrimp cocktail and a Pulpo Colega plate. My husband had hyped me about the place because he visited a long time ago. So I decided to give it a shot. Was honestly disappointed. We paid 40 for both items no drinks or anything extra. The plate was a sad plate with a heap ton of rice and sad pulpo scraps scattered around, they were flavorless. A small scoop of these dreary palid mash potatoes and a soggy side salad made up this 20 plate.The shrimp cocktail also 20 left much to be desired with very little shrimp and not much else but juice and some avocado. Can't say much about atmosphere or the place itself. Maybe we will give it a second chance by dining in. Maybe not.
