Mcnab Ridge Winery Tasting Room

Amazing wine, prices, location, hospitality … Gary was the most charming host and helped cater to our group’s diverse palette. Would go back in a heartbeat

On our way back to S.F. after an anniversary trip to Clearlake, we stopped by McNab and had one of the most interesting and exceptional wine tasting experiences I can recall. Johanna was a wonderful host and so charming. We were lucky to have her all to ourselves and really enjoyed our conversation with her. The wine was great too. The tasting experience is so accessible. A very low fee to taste all of the open bottles, which are several. We really enjoyed the Zinzilla, Fred's Red and the Chardonnay. Highly recommended. The only downside is that Johanna is moving back to her home state of Texas and we won't have the pleasure of her company on our next visit to McNab.

We discovered McNab years ago, and try to come up every year. This time we tasted and enjoyed multiple wines, selected a case of our favorites, and joined the wine club! A triple win! Barbara behind the bar was very knowledgeable and helpful. I don't know how Rich Parducci does it, but McNab wines are easily equal to, and in many cases surpass, wineries just 30 minutes south In Healdsburg, for HALF THE PRICE! Don't think about the extra 1/2 hour drive, just go! And another tip: McNab is not the only tasting room in Hopland. And you're just a block away from a terrific breakfast or burger at the Blue Bird Cafe; go early though, cuz they close at 2pm.

Some of their wines are really nice. Lady who works here lets phone calls go to voicemail and then doesn't return calls. As for contacting her by email, she never replies to emails. Not sure how she gets any business. Too bad because I've tasted a few of their RED wines and they're really good and reasonably priced.

We got there around 5:15pm (they close at 6pm , we knocked on the door and Devan came to our rescue! We had been on a road trip and desperately needed some vino we sat in the back and had the Sauvignon Blanc and the Day Sipper Rosé they were both delicious! Devan sent us home with 2 great stemless wine glasses (perfect for camping We will definitely come back!
