Hong Kong Garden - Hopkinsville

I hadn't dined here in years, and the experience was quite disappointing. The atmosphere was dark and gloomy, and the menu choices were very limited. The flavors were lacking, and I only opted for takeout because I was hungry and didn't want to waste my money. The parking lot has needed repaving for years and is still in poor condition. There were numerous signs warning dine-in customers not to waste food, or they would incur an extra charge. Overall, it was a big letdown.

I ordered the house fried rice from this restaurant and it was terrible. I love Chinese food and have been to many different Chinese restaurants, but I've never had an experience like this. The rice tasted old and burnt, and the meat was disappointing—the beef was dry, the shrimp was dried out, and the chicken was also dry. Overall, the food was very bland. I should have gone to China Garden up the street, which is much better. I wouldn’t waste my money here; this place should really be shut down. I’m just thankful I didn’t get sick!

The food was delicious, and there was a great variety to choose from. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was quite simple, but the layout was spacious. The prices were very reasonable, at just under $12. I will definitely return to dine here again!

The only thing that I would recommend is doing something if possible to keep the food on the buffet hotter. Otherwise pretty good.

Every time I go there the food taste like it’s been warmed up 3times in a roll.
