La Dolce Vita - Hope

I stopped by this place on my way home to kamloops from Vancouver last year, my usual go to is Home restaurant down the street, as it is for many people because there is always a line out the door. Since I didn't want to wait for the line I decided to try this restaurant. I'm Italian myself, and my mother and grandmother make very good Italian food, even so I'm not very picky, I just wanted something cheesy and filling. I ordered a ravioli dish, and I waited about 30-35 minutes for my food (even though the restaurant was empty). The food was put down on the table by a very uninterested waitress, although I don't blame her, she must of been bored out of her mind with such an empty restaurant. So now that I am starving and excited to have some pasta, I dig in and am welcomed by thin flavourless sauce that could have been substituted with water and I would have never noticed, and pathetic ravioli's with the same flavor profile, that also had a nice touch of being stone cold on the inside. I told the waitress about my complaint and she said that she would let the chef know, as she turned around she rolled her eyes. At this point I had only taken two bites, so I decided to get up and leave. I would not normally write a review like this, but I had to let everyone know that this is by far the worst restaurant I have ever been to, and I don't really understand how you could possibly give this place any higher than a 1 star rating. But if you're in the mood for waiting a long time for cold, bland food, then this is the place to go. But hey, the decor was nice.

This restaurant now serves Italian and Indian food. Very tasty.

The service was fantastic. The grilled chicken and green salad was delicious. The pizza so so. The tortellini not bad, the sauce could be creamier and stronger taste. We really enjoyed there. Will certainly recommend it!

Pretty pricey but the food and the service is really good.

Classic Italian cuisine. Very tasty and a lot of food for the money. I would eat there again.
