The Maynard - Hope Valley

We visited The Maynard for our friend's wedding and it was fantastic. We only saw the place at night, but it was a great location and we will definitely come back. The rooms were excellent, the service was top-notch, and the location was perfect. We highly recommend The Maynard for any event or stay.

From the moment we arrived the night before, to the end of our stay, Lisa and Charlotte went above and beyond for us. The attention to detail, care for our guests, and the way they brought our vision to life was amazing. If you're considering getting married here, don't hesitate. We had our wedding here two weeks ago and it was brilliant. The Maynard Team were friendly, professional and their attention to detail was impeccable. Special mention to Lisa, Leah and Josh who were absolutely on it and made sure everything went to plan on the day. A superb place to stay as a base for walking anywhere in the peak district or for nipping into Sheffield. (leave your car in the hotel car park and just a 5 minute walk to Grindleford station). The whole hotel feels like a little bit of luxury, but earthy and welcoming at the same time warm, quiet, comfortable rooms, hot showers, freshly cooked breakfast, excellent food and drink in the bar and restaurant and friendly, professional service from all of the staff we met. Our room felt as tho it may just have been refurbished and a little bit of superficial snagging might be necessary but everything about this hotel suggests a management that cares about quality and service.
