Mikey's Grill - Hoover

Oh my gosh, the best food ever!! We went for lunch but had found what we wanted online. We didn’t realize it was on the dinner menu. They were so wonderful and made us the food for our lunch!! That’s Macadamia Crusted Snapper and the best crab cake we’ve ever had!!! Superb service and we will definitely be back!!

As Midwesterners, we enjoy seafood but the cuisine at this restaurant was a whole new experience for us. We were hesitant about trying crawfish, so the chef kindly gave us a sample. We also ordered alligator strips as an appetizer, which we shared almost evenly. The crawfish po-boy was our main dish of choice, inspired by the tasty sample we received. The wait staff was excellent, striking a perfect balance between attentiveness and respect for our privacy. The portions were generous - so much so that splitting the appetizer and po-boy between the two of us left us feeling satisfied and ready to continue our journey.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The crab cakes were incredible, the bison burger was delicious, and the shrimp fettuccine Alfredo was the best I've ever had. I will definitely return to this place.

We had another wonderful dining experience at Mikey’s. The crab cakes are truly the best you can find. We also tried the fried green tomato, which was unlike any I’ve had before and absolutely delicious. Since moving from Atlanta a couple of years ago, Mikey’s has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants. With over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry before coming to Alabama, I can attest to the rarity of finding fresh ingredients like the ones Mikey uses. A pro tip: ask for Chris as your server. He is exceptional and even remembered our drink orders after just one visit. We love the entire staff, but Chris truly stands out at this level of service. We can’t wait to return soon.

I have visited this restaurant several times and every time I have had a great experience. The food is always fresh and homemade. It is a fantastic place for dinner.
