Broder Oest - HOOD RIVER

The food was delicious! Everything was fantastic. This was my first time trying Scandinavian cuisine and I really loved it. Our waitress was excellent and made sure to check on us regularly. Another great thing about this restaurant is that they are dog-friendly and allowed us to sit on the terrace with our two dogs.

I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious heifer flakes and grapefruit at this restaurant - they blew my mind! The chefs have a knack for turning simple dishes into something extraordinary. They also offer a variety of vegan and vegetable-based options, even replacing dairy with plant-based alternatives to open up new possibilities. The Alpenkaffee was incredibly tasty as well, and the old hotel has a beautiful ambiance.

Everything was amazing from the food to the service. We had the seasonal fritters, chicken apple sausage, Danish pancakes, and Swedish meatballs. The chicken apple sausage is made in house and is hands down, the best chicken sausage I have ever had. Everyone was super friendly and it seems like everyone just helps everyone with tables so you feel very well taken care of. Would definitely come back.

Stopped by for Sunday Brunch. Food was phenomenal. Will absolutely be coming back next time I'm in the area. I had the Danish Pancakes and my husband had the Hash.There was a wait for Sunday Brunch. We were able to walk around town though, and widdle away the time.Only con was paying $4 for a glass of orange juice. That felt pretty ridiculous, especially as it wasn't even fresh squeezed or anything.

I know you can't pronounce the names of the dishes and you're worried Scandinavian means everything will contain fish, however, you couldn't be more wrong (also, get the fish because it's delicious). I live a hundred miles from this place and I've literally gotten up on a Saturday and just drove out to Hood River to sit here and drink espresso and eat everything on the menu?. Do it. Go now... Why are you still here? Go eat all the aebleskiver!!!!
