Just another mini vacation for me lol . Well what can I say I really don't like that name that's attached to the hotel although this hotel is real elegant and top notch service level far from the rest I experienced . There was a Kamaaina special at $359 per night including free valet parking , $50 dinning credit per day , resort fee waived , and all kinds of discounts on tours and activities. So keeping that in mind the actual price of the room less all of those amenities it averages about $229 or so which is well worth it at a Trump brand hotel . I used my food credit for the first night on room service for dinner . I ordered shrimp tempura, bread pudding along with ice cream also a pot of coffee. All of that cost about $50.. such a good feel free dinner lol . Support local
This place is quite amazing. Pool with a beach view. Service is great of course. Very comfortable stay.
We loved our stay at the trump hotel! One of the things that stood out the most was the fine staff that were hired at the hotel. We've never come across such genuinely kind, thoughtful and helpful attendants. From the moment we walked in, a host of staff were there to greet us and we were treated like royalty. We were immediately escorted on the elevator to the check in counter where we were given infused water with tropical candied jellies. The room was absolutely beautiful with a nice kitchenette, spacious living room, luxury bathroom (including washlet) and an amazing balcony view of Waikiki. We also got comfy bathrobes to use during our stay and some nice treats to celebrate our special occasions. We were so sad that the gift shop was closed Monday and Tuesday on the days we were there, and had we known, we would have tried to come on a day it was open. So very sad bc we wanted to buy souvenirs. As others noted, you are given reusable eco bags that you can put things into during your stay (no more canvas bags as other yelpers noted), they are generous w plenty of water bottles that are helpful especially if you go for a walk, and they also give reusable trump water bottles for those who want to use that for water instead. Of note is that they no longer have trump slippers (I'm not sure if it's temporary or permanent)...we were so bummed about this especially since the gift shop wasn't open but one staff member saw our disappointment and did their best to have someone find what appeared to be the very last ones for us in stock! Of note is that there is street parking but park at your own risk bc one staff member got a parking ticket. We didn't want to run the risk and paid for valet parking. Also of note is that the distance to walk to the main strip on Waikiki is quite far especially for those with disabilities. It's prob best to just stay at the hotel or drive there. We got to hang out at the jacuzzi and it was so beautiful and peaceful. Pretty much had the whole area to ourselves for quite some time. There is also a nice small library/office space to study or use the computer/printer. They have a small gym as well but we didn't use it. Trump hotel was definitely the highlight of our Honolulu trip. Wish it was a little less expensive, but given that everything is so expensive in hawaii, it was quite worth it. Plus, my parents are strong supporters of Trump, so it was even more-so a special treat for them to stay at this location. Of another note is that the breakfast buffet at in-yo was absolutely fabulous! Trump hotel has already been recommended to our friends and family.
This is a nice hotel, but not up to the bar as a 5 star hotel. The front desk was hospitable and always greeted us whenever we passed by. During check in, we were welcomed by cucumber water. We were upgraded by two levels to an ocean view room. The view was superb, especially during sunset golden hour. Thanks to the Amex FHR program, we got complimentary breakfast buffet at the IN YO cafe and the $100 dining credit at Wai'olu Ocean Cuisine. They both were so good, I would pay to dine here even without credits. The pool was small but nice. The water was clean, and the view was good. The bed was pretty comfortable it was not too soft nor too hard, and the pillows were not too tall. The room was a little bit staler than I expected. The toilet cover is a bidet, but it would automatically self clean whenever a motion is sensed. It's a little bit annoying when someone is actively using the bathroom. The shower area is open, which may make it easy to get the whole floor in the bathroom wet. In one night, the vent at the bathroom fan was having constant knocking sound. Not a big deal since it couldn't be heard after I closed the bathroom door and used earplugs. They replaced most toiletries every day, but they didn't replace the body lotion at all during the 4 night stay. On the second night it was almost empty, and on the third night it was completely empty, but the room keeper simply closed the lid and put it back to the tray. The distance to the beach was a drawback. It takes three street crossing and ~5 10 minutes walk to the beach. Not very long, but isn't a convenient choice if you plan to spend most days at the beach. Overall, this is a good hotel and I had very good experience. But given its price tag I'll probably won't book again.
I don't care what y'all say- we loved it! Despite what is said about trump, that would never determine why we wouldn't stay somewhere. We got a 2 bedroom suite with kitchen, washer and dryer. Amazing ocean view. Awesome location a few blocks from Waikiki and royal Hawaiian center. And ABC store down the street. This stay was amazing in a sense that there wasn't many people, so it wasn't crowded. You could get into the pool and have it all to yourselves. The restaurant wasn't ever full. The staff was amazing , so nice, so helpful and loved talking story with them: Interesting enough about the spa, I will do a separate review. But my parents had a lovely time and enjoyed jr very much. I will say I hate the times on the gift shop as we weren't able to grab any on our last day.
