When it came to dessert, the Poi Cheesecake and Crème Brûlée were simply exquisite. Each dessert struck a perfect balance of texture and flavor, providing a lovely conclusion to the meal. One thing to keep in mind for future visitors: the dress code leans towards the more upscale side. The crowd was elegantly dressed, and I felt a bit underdressed myself. It’s definitely a venue where dressing up a bit can enhance your experience and complement the chic atmosphere. Overall, my experience was fantastic. With great food, stunning views, and a vibrant ambiance, I would highly recommend Signature Restaurant to anyone wanting to elevate their dining experience in Honolulu. Just don’t forget to dress a bit fancy!
The service here is outstanding. Each table is attended by a main server and an assistant, with different staff members bringing out each course. The bar has a great selection of drinks and wine. The menu is divided into appetizers, main entrees, and sides. It’s a bigger version of Little Joe's Steakhouse, so you might recognize some of the dishes. I ordered the special of the day, a 30 oz tomahawk ribeye. I requested it medium rare, and it came out medium rare plus. While I wasn’t fond of the sauce on top, the steak was still delicious. The dessert menu was somewhat limited. You’d expect it to be more extensive since it's affiliated with Liliha Bakery, but it wasn't. What we did try was just average. Overall, I would give this place four stars. The service was excellent, the view was breathtaking, and the food was good. If you're a small party and can walk in, you might be able to snag a seat at the bar. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to stroll around the mall. That was quite a hearty meal I just had. And happy Father's Day greetings for next year!
Not hubby's and my usual steakhouse, but it was nice to try something different. Valet parking available $6 with validation, tip extra) with a short walk through the hotel lobby to a private elevator that takes you straight to the top floor. Greeted warmly by everyone and showed to our table almost immediately. Two large dining areas on opposite sides of the restaurant. We were seated on the right side. Walkways seem a little tight as there are tables fronting the floor to ceiling windows and booth seating against the wall, so might be a bit snug if you're navigating a wheelchair. Once seated, a beautiful city lights view that gives the establishment extra am ambiance...bonus if there are fireworks like the night we went. Our server, Pono, was attentive and professional, yet was friendly. He checked in on us the perfect amount, and we never felt rushed, even though we were dining late. Drinks: The wines by the glass list was a little disappointing, as there's only 5 reds and 5 whites to choose from. Good amount of bottles to choose from. Hubby had a draft beer, while I had an old fashioned, which was a little too sweet. We also had a glass of Cabernet that was not as full bodied as we like. Food: Appetizers Oysters on the half shell came out beautifully presented and were very fresh. Seared sea scallops... perfectly cooked and paired well with their Dijon BBQ sauce. Entree bone in ribeye...tender on the inside and crispy char on the outside. Sliced for us for ease of sharing. Sides creamed spinach and lobster mac...IMO good, but not great like our fave spot. Was a lovely evening to end a regular Thursday.
The ambiance is very elevated. As soon as you step in you hear the chatter and live piano, it is also VERY VERY dark. Which I am sure gives the feel that this place is very elegant, but I feel that a bit more brightness would help as it kind of feels like I'm eating during a blackout or something. The view is nice though. The service is very good, as I am often a very indecisive person, it takes me a while to pick what dish I would like so the server was able to answer all of my questions. We got the bone-in prime rib steak, as we were recommended it and told it was more flavorful than the regular prime rib. It was delicious and they cut the steak for us. I like steak but I am also not overly picky with it, so there is not much feedback I can give even if I wanted to. The lobster mac n cheese and potato gratin was DELICIOUS. They were both very creamy and flavorful. We were tempted to lick to plate (LOL) with how good it was, so I would highly recommend. Overall, this was a nice restaurant that I would come back again despite its high price point, unless I somehow find somewhere else that serves the same lobster mac n cheese and potato gratin.
