They’ve changed their specials; they no longer have themed days, but instead offer daily specials. Unfortunately, that means no more Meatball Mondays, which left me a bit disappointed since I had specifically gone there for that. However, there’s still a wide selection on the menu, including burgers, sliders, salads, wraps, hot dogs, and beef dishes, all made to order for freshness. Even with my four-item order, I didn’t have to wait long. Here’s what I tried: **Chicago Dog**: This hot dog was loaded with mustard, relish, freshly chopped onions, tomatoes, a kosher pickle, sport peppers, and celery salt on a steamed poppy seed bun, accompanied by a side of fries. I generally prefer my hot dogs plain, so my boyfriend ended up eating most of this one. He thought the bun was very moist, but the hot dog itself was a bit bland, tasting like an average hot dog. Perhaps they were just having an off day, as this truck is renowned for their Chicago-style offerings. I'm willing to give another hot dog on the menu a try next time, but between all the items we ordered, this was not our favorite. **Buffalo Ranch Chicken Wrap**: I wanted something a bit healthier, so I opted for the most popular wrap on the menu. It included grilled chicken breast, buffalo ranch sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and a shredded cheese blend wrapped in a flour tortilla. I later discovered I could have chosen from flour, spinach, or tomato tortillas, but unfortunately, no one asked me. Next time, I’ll definitely go for spinach! **Hawaiian Bus Burger**: I was torn between this burger and their original Bus burger—it’s a toss-up for the top two choices. Ultimately, I chose the Hawaiian for its unique pineapple salsa. This burger came with teriyaki sauce, American cheese, the pineapple salsa, and grilled onions, along with a side of fries. This burger was juicy and delicious, featuring 1/3 lb. Angus beef. The combination of pineapple salsa and teriyaki sauce provided a delightful sweetness that I really enjoyed. **Second City Sliders**: This dish includes not three, but four mini burgers, grilled on a bed of onions and served on steamed buns topped with mustard, ketchup, a kosher pickle chip, and a side of fries. What a great deal! The sliders weren’t the best I’ve ever had, but the meat patty was decent, and the buns were fresh. I just couldn’t get over the value, especially considering it came with fries. I love crinkle-cut fries, which most entrées are served with. Just be sure to enjoy them while they’re hot, as they won’t taste the same later on. **Shrimp Tacos**: These are a big hit and are now available every day rather than just on Taco Tuesday. They come with two baja-style shrimp tacos topped with romaine lettuce, a cheddar blend, homemade salsa, and baja sauce. I’d love to try these one day, as I’m a fan of shrimp tacos, but I might ask for the salsa on the side depending on its spiciness. **Burritos**: During my visit, Grubus had just added burritos and bowls to their menu. It felt reminiscent of Chipotle, and I can’t wait to return and try one of these! The burritos/bowls come with cilantro lime rice, your choice of black or refried beans (which I’d skip), and either steak, chicken, or kalua pig (I’d likely choose chicken or kalua pig). You can also add various veggies and condiments. I’d go for romaine lettuce, a cheddar blend, and sour cream. Overall, Grubus is a fantastic place to grab a quick and satisfying meal at a great price!

I absolutely love everything I’ve tried here, from their all-beef burgers to their latest addition to the menu, the burritos! If you're unsure about what to order, just ask the chef for her recommendation, and you won't be disappointed. Plus, they offer a 10% discount for first responders and military personnel.

The burgers are fantastic! They've also introduced a new menu featuring local-style plate lunches, which is a great addition. It's very convenient for nearby businesses.
