PLACE CLOSING ON 15JUL2022 Location like the lady who has the business on the 15. Jul closed and replaced by HOME DEPOT. Eating wisely does not taste Shawarma or whatever food served on the menu, tasted like Middle Food. The food is dry and the pita is like thick tortilla.
Mary?s has very solid Greek and Mediterranean food. The lunch special is a good offer and the baklava is inexpensive. No bad place for lunch. The quality of the meat was very good, everything else was decent.
This is located in an area where there are several restaurants. The plate I received was uncooked and had no taste. I went right there after I landed a long flight and had to experience the bad food, even hummus smells bad. They serve halal meat (Lamb ONLY)
Back in the corner of Moanalua 66 you will find Mary's. Upon approach, I was excited to see it had the resemblance of a hole in the wall establishment, so I was excited to try out their take on Greek food in Hawaii. I ordered two gyro sandwich value meals to go. The meals come with garlic seasoned fries or a salad and a canned beverage, so of course I decided to get the fries. The sandwich wasn't anything to phone home about. The wrap was amazingly soft, and probably one of the best I ever had. The tzatziki didn't taste fresh. There was some meat hiding in there and some veggies. The fries however, cooked well, hot, crisp, and seasoned with their own garlic salt. The only issue was they tastes like they had been sitting for a bit and reheated. Keep in mind, this is all my opinion. I'm used to gyros busting at the seams with the meat and toppings, and filled with flavor and this was not my experience at Mary's. Check them out for yourself and see if you agree?
