The meal and everything else from our experience at Makana was fantastic!!! The food was expertly prepared with innovative seasonings and flavor combinations. This restaurant is truly unique in Honolulu and I love that the ingredients are so local and fresh. I already want to go back!!!

I was a bagel refugee for a long time Honolulu. After some disappointing experiences with Bagelexploration, I was convinced that the best option I could have in Honolulu was to get a lot of Einstein Bros Bagels from Costco. I heard of This is It of my long-term Honolulu residents who also live in D.C, so my expectation was necessarily quite high. Their bagels come in irregular sweet plump shapes, relatively smaller than an average size. I went with a poppy seed bagel with sun-dried tomato cream cheese and breakfast sandwich with eggs and Portuguese sausages. I never had such a sun-dried tomato-y-cream cheese, it was soooo good!! My husband had a whole bagel that was not too salty, but had a good garlic and onion taste. We loved it! I bought energy bag at my second visit, which Quinoa, Rosin and Walnuts had. To date, my faggot has only been drunk, because I love this way too much. We just tried sun-dried tomatoes and lax cream cheese, but other flavors also look delicious! The service is quite fast, although they are busy. From two times we went, the same two ladies worked so hard and kept the place neat and efficient.

Absolute BEST Bagels and SERVICE on the island! We love this place, and we always get the best service when we come. You know our order and make it quick! My BF is from NYC and he says these bagels are legit! I just love how good they are. This is the only place to buy Bagels on Oahu!!!

UPDATE: Closes on 29 May 2021 The Owners are retiring..., I wish them good fortune and cheer. I will greatly miss This Is It. The BEST on Island. I will really miss Rossi thank you for always treating me like Ohana. Bam! A good bagel place in Honolulu. Best part they even serve bialys!!! I have been searching for a decent bakery made bagel and have found the place. Get there early!!! If you want your choice of bagels get there by 7:00 am otherwise, the pickings get slim as the day goes on. They staff is smart to do this to ensure quality control. Update The best around. And even better, they have strict controls to ensure customer safety. Best part of my day is stopping by here.
