Izakaya Torae Torae - Honolulu

We arrived just before the restaurant opened and there was already a line forming outside. The food was quite good. We tried nigiri (otoro, chutoro, king salmon, and hamachi). Although the sushi was tasty, the price for just one piece was a bit high in my opinion. I also ordered the pork belly bowl, but felt it could have had more flavor. The standout dish of the night was the hamachi carpaccio. The service was friendly, despite the busy night. The atmosphere was casual and lively.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at this restaurant for our date night! The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and we really enjoyed their late happy hour. We will definitely be coming back soon!

Only 1 waiter available for all tables. The table and menu were sticky and greasy when touched. Food was okay, some were overcooked.

The food was good overall, I didn't have any major complaints. I ordered the salmon roll which was okay, but I really enjoyed the crunchy tuna roll. The sushi was a bit pricey. The service from our waitress was excellent. The only downside was that one of my friend's rolls arrived very late after everyone else had finished their meals.

I really liked this place. I heard about it from friends awhile back and decided to take them there and thank them for all the years we worked together and get things done. The food, service and atmosphere was excellent. It was so good, I went back within a week and brought friends from Georgia to experience what it is like to dine there as well.
