IL Lupino - Honolulu

The food was okay. Kept always interrupted by gnats flying around our plates.

This place was earlier our favorite Italian spot (for over 10 years) it changed management and it was terrible. Food quality and service took a large dive. The menu was limited to start with and they did not have half of the listed items. Food took about 45 minutes to get out and then some dishes weren't right, but we couldn't bother sending back to Redo. The food was the same quality as a place like Olive Garden. We're so cheated because it was the best!

Dinner was absolutely delicious. We sat outside and the ambience was amazing. It was a very nice setting.

Unfortunately, their food delivery service did not arrive this day and the menu was strictly limited. Server was very apologetic. The shrimps were okay, nothing special and on a smaller plate then I expected. Asawa ko and I tried to share, but it wasn't enough. No calfsalarmigiana, but they brought a decent calf cut on a bed of pasta. Very small sauce. At a price of $75 per person I expected more. If it hadn't been for outdoor entertainment while we ate on the Lanai, it would have been pretty boring.

Staff tried to give good service but still lacking. My salad arrived 2 minutes before my main course. They were out of pizza when we were there. I asked for bread and they were also out of bread. My husband ordered carpaccio but it looked sloppy. Also expensive . He lost his appetite and did t even bother ordering a Mai. Course. He was not happy and not feeling the restaurant at all. :
