Gokoku - Honolulu

I'm just gonna keep this short sweet. I was a first time diner with my girlfriend this restaurant was excellent! I reserved a window table with a scenic view (until the sun went down of course) we were somewhat isolated, which was nice. Everything was delicious. I'm not gonna get into the specifics of each individual dish, but I will tell you what we ate. We had the following: Roast Duck (cold starter), Chicken Nanban (hot starter), Spider Roll, Shrimp Roll, Ahi Katsu Roll, Mini Udon, Green Salad w/sesame dressing, Sundae, Lady Killer Cocktail, a delicious peach drink (i can't remember the name). I would highly recommend ALL of the items I just listed if you have never tried them I would definitely order all of these items again in the future. Service was top notch, even though it wasn't super busy for a Sat night. Our server was SEIYA he did an excellent job! He was very informative about recommendations on the menu was able to answer any questions we had. I would also like to mention that ALL of his assistants did an excellent job as well (bussing dirty dishes, refilling water, serving food/drinks, etc). Anyone who hasn't eaten here yet should make a reservation soon make your tummy happy!!!

Dining area was really nice and bright. Very pretty.

Second visit, we really like this restaurant. They are very attentive and efficient. My wife is a great cook herself, including of Japanese food, and finding a restaurant she tolerates is hard but she has been impressed with the food here. Highly recommended!

First time there and it exceeded expectations for a restaurant at a shopping center. The facility is very nice and the food was excellent. They have some tables and a row of seats facing a window on the water as well as some nicely arranged nooks. We will be back!

Beautiful restaurant. Wish for more interaction with sushi chefs
