Baker Dudes - Honolulu

Baker dudes is one of my go-to pastey shops in downtown. There is a yelp coupon when you check-in but they no longer honor it.You can't go wrong with 2 pastries for $5. My go to are the skicky bun and blueberry danish.

Their blueberry lilikoi danish is awesome and for 2 for $5.00 it's the best deal in town!

The display is beautiful. And the people working very friendly and efficient. So it was really disappointing that the pastries were not great. At the Kailua Town Farmers ' Market, we got several each of the mango scone, chocolate croissant, blueberry lilikoi danish and Schnecken. The scones should be renamed essence of mango so as to manage expectations. This is not a typical fruit scone loaded with fruit. Out of the three scones, there was a total of five small diced pieces of mango and not much flavor other than that. The danish and Schnecken were tough, which I didn 't realize was possible with pastry dough. The line is always long so maybe the breads and cookies are better.

Great bakery in downtown, Honolulu!Not roomy and very clean like a brand-new shop, but their bread had a really good, home-made fresh taste.We bought a Sweet croissant, Sticky bun and Mango Scones, they were soft and sweet.Unfortunately, I have no pics of individual item because it was so good as much I forgot to take pics.I highly recommend you this bakery, the lady was kind, too.I definitely come back!Next time, I want to try Banana bread and some other things.

So glad that they've re-opened! Their pastries are excellent; try them all! I love the cinnamon aman, the almond croissant (the filling is almond butter rather than marzipan), and the sticky bun. Honestly, I'll eat anything from here. They also have gift loaves that are perfect for office potlucks. It's become a necessary weekday indulgence.
