I've been visiting the Captains Bar for 30 years. I was sweating that they had a special silver beer jug for me because it had my beginning. It is difficult to stay in HK for so long in business, due to the good times bad, by thick thin. Well done Captains Bar, you have survived so long and still deliver an excellent service value. Come over to the curry lunch.
A HK symbol. First Class Bar, probably one of the best in the world. Too bad they have their dress code standards dropped. Shorts baseball caps! Really!
My husband and I went to the captain's bar at the beginning of this year. Since the first visit it has always been our place to chill and hang out. The Interrior is not super hip or flashy trendy, but it has its noble charator quite sure with history. About 2 weeks ago we went to my husband's birthday party with friends and she surprised us with a birthday cake and that was another level of customer support and service. I don't say that because we have a free cake, the reason why it's more surprising because they don't make reservations so they didn't know that we're coming, we mention breifly that we could do our party here with some friends during our previous visit there. They remembered and when they saw us that we prepared the cake for us. Staff are really nice and friendly and make us feel they appreciate our company. Of course, the drinks are great and their Octofest beer specialist is a good offer and a hotel bar. So yes I recommend this bar for anyone who never checked it out or had been here for a while!
