Assaggio Trattoria Italiana - Hong Kong

The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance with a spacious outdoor area for relaxing. There is a balcony where you can enjoy a drink or meal while soaking up the sunshine. The Italian dishes such as spaghetti, risotto, steamed fish and lamb chops are cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this place.

Came here for a pre-melection time and it turns out pretty good! they have a promo of free an appetizer with a order of 2 glasses of wine. if they think to see the fireworks display on the harbour, this is a restaurant that they can book in advance!

The restaurant is a bit expensive, but the food quality is above average and the environment is nice with a seaside view. They offer a salad bar for around hkd 168 per person, which includes Parma ham and roasted beef, as well as a tasty mushroom soup. You can also add an extra pasta or risotto for around hkd 70. Visited late last year on a sunny day where my wife and I sat outdoor to enjoy the weather and view. We were given 2 menus 1) cena selezionata 2) weekend brunch set. We wanted to order from the 1st menu as second person gets to order it at half price. The staff told us the 1st menu wasn't available when we tried to order from it which was a big bummer... Anyway, ordered the weekend brunch set that came with a antipasti soup, main course, dessert and a drink. Food was alright overall. The antipasti, soup and dessert (chocolate mousse cake) were tasty while the main were a bit bland but the weather and the view made up for it.

Used to come here for lunch not that long ago and love the buffet and great selection which was coming with. Just came here for dinner and what a disappointment ! The portions are just way too small for the price paid. Really a shame, I probably won't come back and would advise friends to avoid the place unless they want to feel ripped off. So many better places around.
