Willow River Gallery Cafe - Honesdale

This small gallery and restaurant is an undiscovered jewel. As others have said, it must be experienced. The woman and the man team do an incredible work with making the experience perfection... the place is in interesting and good-done paintings, eclectic china (order a pot of tea and you are invited to choose your tea pot), artistic decoration, and the food is to die for!!! You have to order the chocolate truffle cake... we split a slice and it was divine.

If it were possible, I would have a bonus 6. Add star. This place must only be experienced. My description is not fair. The menu is interesting, unusual and with amazing variety. Even the plates are stunning (all different), and the food on them is simply delicious. I had a tomato, onion, Cheddar tart and chose the salad for my side. It was all great, but I would come back to eat the salad. I'm not a dessertcraver, but I had to try. Pistachio raspberry mousse cake. Light and full taste, I could not stop eating it (although I really had taken half home). Prices are very reasonable. This place is a jewel and I can't believe it took me so long to try. Will definitely be back.

It's not a gallery. If you like whimsical art and eclectic food, this is a place for you. The owner and server is also the artist of all fantastic works. The whole time we thrived, I felt like I was in a living Lewis Carroll book that is a good thing.

The setting and food are the perfect combination. The menu is big and I wanted to try everything. Dinner was great and I would definitely come back.
