Roman's Famous Meats Seafood

When I opened the package, I was surprised to find that it didn’t contain chicken at all, but rather a large piece of bird that was about 1.5 feet long, 8 inches wide, and 2.5 inches thick. It turns out the place sells ostrich, and I had bought it by chance! The packaging was only marked with the date it was packed. No worries, though; I followed the grilling advice, cooking my new discovery for 8 minutes on each side over medium heat and then 2 minutes on each side in the other part of the grill. It was fantastic! I got so caught up with the ostrich that I forgot to cook the pierogies, but I plan to have those with the ribs tonight. Now, for the bottom line: this place offers excellent fresh food and great service. I thought the prices were a bit high ($20 for the ostrich and $6 for the pierogies), but in hindsight, my family of four only finished half of it, meaning my total meal cost around $12, and I’ll have leftovers to enjoy tomorrow. I did so much fun this morning on this Poppyseed Kolache! I bought it at Roman's Famous Meats and Seafoods in Honesdale Pa. It is homemade and it is simply amazing!!!!

The selection is absolutely huge, the quality of food and meat is great. May say the homemade meats are authentic, old world recipes. Would have been 5 stars if the prices were more reasonable. Understand that you pay more for imported food, real keelbasa, sausages, etc., but the prices were still quite steep. (Maybe it's pandemic or inflation? Owner is a nice man who is obviously proud of the business.

My son, aunt, and I recently visited a steak and seafood restaurant, and we were pleasantly surprised by everything this place had to offer. As someone who loves to cook, I truly appreciate delicious and fresh food, and I can say that the food here was outstanding. We enjoyed the freshest fish and chips at Roman’s, which were absolutely amazing. Additionally, we had a lovely conversation with the owner, who is not only beautiful but also genuine. We’ll definitely be back on every visit to Virginia to explore and taste even more.

When we visit Lake Ariel, PA, we always anticipate lunch at Roman's Famous Meats. The owner is capable of making any sandwich you desire, whether you want to eat there or take it to go. My personal favorite is the pulled pork with warm barbecue sauce! During the summer, his father cooks outside in front of the store under a large white canopy. It’s a fun place to shop!
