Boardwalk Fish And Chips - Homer

We were just trying to escape the rain when we stumbled upon a hidden gem! Boardwalk Fish and Chips was an absolute delight. The halibut fish and chips were spot on—perfectly cooked. In my opinion, they rivaled the chowder, which was also incredible! If you’re in the area, be sure to stop by BF&C, as it gets busy quickly.

If you're craving delicious fried seafood, this is the spot for you. I ordered the fried clams basket, and it was exceptional. The clam chowder was possibly the best I've ever tasted. I absolutely love this place!

While exploring Homer during a food tour, I had the chance to stop by Boardwalk Fish Chips to see how they handled the classic fish and chips combo. We were warmly welcomed by a friendly employee who offered some great suggestions since we were newcomers to the area, though we already had our minds set on fish and chips! So, how did it measure up? It was quite tasty! The crispiness of the fish was average—not soggy, but not perfectly crispy either—just somewhere in the middle. Still, it was enjoyable! Their waffle fries on the side were delicious and nicely seasoned. Overall, it’s a solid spot to check out in Homer. We returned in June 2022, but unfortunately, they were closed at that time. Hopefully, they'll reopen soon!

$100 for—and I say this completely objectively—some of the worst fish I’ve ever had. Zero flavor, tasted like it was last seasons freezer burned harvest was dipped in unseasoned batter and dropped into old oil. We took one bite and couldn’t eat another. For a place that came so highly recommended I am shocked by how bad it was. I’ve had better fish from food restaurants.

Best little Fish and Chip joint in Homer. Always perfectly cooked, great fries and the view is perfect.
