Big Jim's Pizza - Homer Glen

I have dined at this restaurant many times in the past and it has always been very good. However, it seems that it may be under new ownership now as the quality is beginning to decline. During my most recent visit, I ordered a pizza with black olives as toppings, but they were replaced with Kalamata olives without informing me. The difference in taste and texture between the two types of olives is significant, and I would have chosen a different pizza had I known they were out of black olives. When I called to inquire about the substitution, the employee insisted that they had used black olives, despite clear evidence to the contrary. This lack of understanding of their products and defensive attitude was disappointing. It is unfortunate that this business is not living up to its previous standards of service and quality.

The restaurant lacks customer service and warmth. The staff is too preoccupied with their own conversations to assist customers, resulting in being ignored at the counter twice. Furthermore, the temperature inside is extremely cold, with even the staff needing to wear coats. I recommend going across the street to enjoy ribs instead.
