The Kro is conveniently located for Hjerl Hede, the open air museum, and for walking around Stubbergård and Flyndersø lakes. It has a few different rooms that can be used for groups, small and large. The Kro offers traditional Danish food, freshly made: I had stjerneskud (very traditional fish dish) but the rødspætte (plaice) had not just come out of the deep freezer already breaded, it was freshly done with a home-made, light coating. My husband had the lunch platter with lovely pork and other delights including 2 unusual cheeses with caramelised figs. There was beer from Fur brewery. The only negative point was the price; 75 kr for a bottle of beer and 50kr for a tiny glass of white wine, and 505kr for 2 mains, drinks and coffee. However, we intend to go back again with a group next month.
Together with a bunch of happy people, my wife and I participated at the annual jazzparty at Sevel Kro. A very good orchestra, fantastic food, a good dance, and a lot of talk, meetings with wonderful people made together a memorable evening.
This was our third visit, which says everything It is cosy, well maintained and the staff/owners couldn’t be more helpful It is in a lovely village and although we have stayed in extreme cold, this time the crocus’s were blooming The food too is good, well cooked and presented
Reservation table for 4 persons and a order of påske platte and Beer from Fur Bryghus. We are not so satisfied and it was not value for money.
