This being the second and last time to visit Disalvo 's restaurant I felt compelled to write a review. 1. This Disalvo 's is filthy! Restrooms, walls separating booths/tables, floors, etc. counters, you name it it 's dirty. 2. To top it off, the employees are not required to dress presentable. They wear a uniform but what a disgrace. 3. Most importantly, the profanity that is used by the employee 's when conversing with one another across the dining room is very distasteful. From the 'F ' word being used to hearing out of one server 's mouth as he replied to a female server at the opposite end of the dining room, ;I said I 'm busy, what do you think I 'm doing up here (he is standing at the counter). So there you have my review brought on by an experience on 4/8/05 at 11:25a.m.this morning when I stopped in for a take out order. Love to dine out? NOT at DISALVO 's.
Let me start by saying, I used to be a regular customer. About 4 years ago we went to dinner at this location and there were bugs (not 1) at least 10 tiny bug (gnats) in the salad on top of the lettuce. The owner made it as if it was no big deal (like a regular occurrence) and did offer me soup instead. I declined and left. Last week, we decided to give it another shot after I heard a commercial on the radio advertising their restaurant. What a mistake. The salad was fine this time but there was a hair in my Chicken Marsala after I was almost finished eating it. It was hidden underneath the Marsala sauce. I was so disgusted! If I was so unlucky to have things in my food, it must be occurring often. I'm sure there are better Italian places in the area.
