Derry's Family - Hollywood

I visted Derry's on June 3 2024.The food was excellent but service was not that good. We were a party of 3 and there were only one other customer seated so, this shouldn't haven't caused the waitress a delay in waiting on us. One waitress seated at the counter on her cell phone while the other waitress was eating at the counter. We asked the 1st witness for a menu and she acted as if we were bothering her. We waited for her to get off of her cell phone as we seated ourselves, no greeting when we walked in. When the waitress finally attended to us she became friendlier.The seat in our booth was ripped up. The surrounding outside looked filthy. You need to clean up the surrounding area ofYour business. Good food is not enough. Maybe to some customers. We thank you for the delicious food??

This restaurant is a MUST visit when visiting Hollywood Florida. We get tired of the resort food and always find local soul food. This was our 3rd visit. Will definitely return. Full review on our youtube DAVIS314

I don't know how I found Derry's online, but I'm soooo glad that I did!! As soon as I walked in the door, I could tell the food would be delicious! ? The staff was friendly, the environment was relaxed, and the portion size of the food was a fantastic value. The food was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. We will definitely be back and will tell friends and family in the area about it!

Food used to be good grits was cold fish was horrible not even season.. they gave me a broke plate with my toes

Some days y'all do amazing some days it's just good. Sometimes the grits are served preseasoned and are the best I've had but other days they're plain grits, I get that's what the salt n pepper is for but it's not the same. The brown gravy also varies it's nice but some times the cook kills and it's thicker and richer. I love y'all's food but if we can have it be more consistently delicious would be great, also been waiting on the chopped steak patties to come back cause the smothered pork chops came out thin as a plate today and I'm still hungry.
