Cork Cow - Hollyhill

This is the first time in my life I’ve had a bartender overhear me debating which specialty cocktail to try, and just whipping it up and serving the one he’d recommend. Delightful! The meal could not have been a better experience. Expert wait staff, fabulous food, and everything timed exactly as it should be. PS Best crème brûlée EVER.

The food was okay but at this price point it the overall dining experience was disappointing. The ceaser salad was a plate of chopped romaine with Parmigiano cheese which they served to us without dressing. The waitress offered to remake it or bring us dressing. I would have expected the kitchen to correct it.Then we were served our steaks. My husband was served filet when he ordered Ribeye. Our options then were to wait 20 minutes for his steak. So he ate the filet disappointly because its not what he ordered and so we could eat our meal together. The food presentation was average at best. You would expect more at that price point than a piece of meat and two boiled potatoes on a plate with some sauce. We were offered to take a ribeye home but since we were traveling that was not a suitable option, so they offered us free desert, which turned out to be the best part of the meal. Don't think we will go back.

Best restaurant in middle TN.... seriously, and I don't say that lightly. Want to impress? Go here- every time I go, my wife and I don't understand why we don't come here more often. We try several other places because so many open in the Nashville vicinity every year, and NOTHING tops Cork and Cow. CAUTION: Food is so good, you will not want to share with anyone... like, grip the table, and wrinkle the table cloth, and nobody speaks while eating good. Not kidding. Every time.

The food is absolutely fantastic! I want to extend my compliments to the chef and the owners. As someone who has lived in Franklin for a long time, I truly appreciate how you've transformed the former Bennet's hardware store into such a wonderful restaurant. Congratulations!

They only serve one type of soup, but it might just be the best soup I've ever tasted. The grilled lamb chop appetizer is fantastic as well.
