Rita's Italian Ice Frozen Custard

I showed up 30 minutes before closing, only to find that Rita’s was already closed! I was taken aback—not just by their early closure, but also by the realization that the custard is pre-packaged. A week ago, I visited with a friend who ordered a large cotton candy, but they served him a small instead. It felt a bit like fat shaming, which was quite shocking. Come on, it’s 2023—let's do better!

After noticing a flyer promoting the grand opening of this location on February 1st, my son and I decided to check it out. We arrived an hour before closing, only to find the shades drawn. Two young employees saw us waiting and informed us that they were closing early "because they didn't have many customers," even though two other patrons pulled in just as I was getting into my car. I understand the rationale, but it seems a bit off to close early on the very day a flyer is advertising the store's opening and stating hours until 9 PM.

This is a fantastic spot with always fresh custard and an excellent variety of water ices. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, making it a wonderful place to unwind with friends at any time.

Walked up at 830 and they said they were closed. Not going to be coming back.

Their concrete item is unbelievably good. We love their shakes and soft ice cream.
