The Local Tavern - Holden

We went Friday night for drinks and dinner... this place was full! Place only for the bar area and tables all full.... what we thought was a good indicator for our upcoming evening. At the beginning I ordered the Sticky Asian Ribs. All I can say is WOW! With a brown sugar soy glaze, smoked, chopped peanuts, crispy shallots and Zilantro and this would have fed 2 people and this was an appetizer. The drinks started with the Cure The Cold Cider, hot spiked apples, with cinnamon, nutmeg, oranges and cranberries! During this time a band came up, The Midnight Riders, how much fun they were! Everyone had a great time listening to them, they were really talented. We ordered a cheese pizza and a pizza with caramelized onion, garlic and they use real San Marzano sauce... Love there. No burned crust, thin and delish, highly recommended. Last drinks were the Sparkling Figtini, which was a Fig Wodka, Gran Gala, pomegranate juice with Prosecco and a lemon. An adorable companion of the warm Fudge Brownie the bar staff made an amazing work considering how busy the restaurant was last night! Great food, drinks and a cool band! Very recommended!

Grabbed Takeout after a long week. Locals have managed to make really sweet. Nice presentation and the food is pretty great. Your meatballs are fabulous. They were polite and helpful when I called, did not rush at all and took the time to answer my questions. Great! Can't wait to go in person

We thought for appetizers and drinks: got the rolled cheeseburger; not chos, cocktail shrimps and Tuscan wings everything was fantastic from the charts! Service was perfect and prices appropriate. Will definitely return to check their ducks.

My family went there Friday night, it was busy, but not waiting long. This new restaurant is a great upgrade, the same family as in the possession of flip-flops, but newly decorated DIY style and a revised menu. It focuses on locally produced foods that are neat. We had 1) the local Mac n cheese, which is the best we ever had (YUM) 2) a large fresh Super Green salad and 3) a pizza with unexpected combination Flying Dragon, which was wonderful. I highly recommend this place. Love the supplement!

Sirloin tips were huge...medium rare was medium rare, spinach potato with bacon mouth watering... oven roasted salmon with wild mushrooms risotto was unbelievable! Salmon was about 1 1/4 inch thick, perfectly tender and very tasty. Classy presentation as well. Wait staff are appropriate, not intrusive. Overall great dining experience...Rif Raf band was shaking the house...
