Extremely kind hosts, and very reasonably priced. Food, however is not quite up to scratch...

The staff are very friendly, but the buffet is rather lackluster.

Why is this my favorite restaurant anywhere? It’s simple: unpretentious, traditional, family style Danish food, something that is harder and harder to get in a country that is becoming decidedly gourmet. Here my kids can get a birdseye view and taste of all the goodies from my childhood. Smørrebrød, Fiskefilet, Hakkebøf med brun sovs og kartofler, and the list goes on and on. Thank you Birte and Clay for staying true to the old school Danish fare. You are loved and appreciated!

While driving on the little island, we almost gave up finding a place to eat. Due easter it seemed impossible; yet this fantastically odd place was open! It was a time travel into good old fashioned Danish hospitality. The food was excellent, and the elderly couple was taking good care of their guests! What a lovely experience!!! Highly recommended thanks to it’s uniqueness!
